Promoting Organic Foods and Farming
With the rise in organic foods, it may be a surprise that U.S. organic foods account for only 3 percent of total sales.
Increasing that percentage would have a huge impact on all of us and the planet we all share. Mission Organic 2010 is a movement that is aimed at increasing the adoption of organics from the current 3 percent of overall food sales to about 10 percent by 2010. We’ll check in with James D. White, a senior executive with a growing organic brand and board member of The Organic Center, to see how the Mission Organic 2010 campaign is doing.
